Macmillan Books Limited on Friday donated assorted books valued at GH¢1,700 to two libraries in the Kade constituency at Koforidua.
The books included West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSSCE) Science, Mathematics, English, Religious and Moral education text books, as well as dictionaries and other reading materials.
Presenting the books to the Member of Parliament for Kade, Mr Ofosu Asamoah, the Eastern Regional Director of Education, Mrs Akosua Takyiwah Adu, said the donation was meant to improve the reading habit of people in the area.
The libraries, which were situated at Asuom and Kade, were constructed from Mr Asamoah’s share of the MP’s common fund to help support the standard of education in the area.
