Ghana’s Black Maidens head Coach Evan Adotey has said in his radio interview that it is never true that his team collected bribe from their Canadian counterparts hence the 1-2 defeat they suffered to them.
Ghana lost 2-1 to Canada in the last group ‘B’ game of the ongoing Under 17 female World Cup Tournament currently in Costa Rica.
And even though the head Coach attributed his team’s defeat to complacency on the part of his girls, Ghanaian football fans have insisted that the team played poorly and lost because of the bribe coach Adotey collected from the Canadians ahead of the game.
“It is never true that our last game was a fixed match because we took bribe from the Canadians I can never do that.
“These are only rumours because I don’t think anybody has evidence to that. We lost to Canada and we must accept that because on the day we were a bit complacent.
“These rumours could dampen the spirits of the girls so I will urge Ghanaian fans to stay away from it”.He said
The Maidens will play Italy on Thurday in a quarter final clash.
