The Black Queens of Ghana managed to beat their Namibian counterparts by 3-0 in an international friendly match played on Tuesday.
Striker Agnes Aduako of Fabulous Ladies opened the scores before Portia Boakye of Fabulous Ladies hit a brace to make it 3-0.
The team had already defeated the Namibians by 3-1 last Friday when Samira Suleiman of Hasaacas Ladies got a brace while Agnes Aduako of Fabulous Ladies got the other goal for Ghana.
The Black Queens were invited by Namibia Football Association to play these two international friendlies as part of the county’s 24th Independence Day celebration.
Meanwhile head coach of the team, Yussif Bassige has told Asempa Sports the exercise has sharpen them ahead of their African Women’s Championship qualifier against Ethiopia in April
“This exercise has really helped us because we needed this kind of the international competition to expose our weaknesses and indeed I have detected the loop holes.
“The young ladies of Namibians were very good and we’ve gotten what we wanted as we prepare to meet Ethiopia in our last qualifier”. He added
The Queens will arrive at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) on Wednesday afternoon to continue their preparations.
Namibia will host the 2014 African Nations Women’s Championship later this year.
