Hearts Coach Mohammed Polo has taken a swipe on some disloyal fans following their 3-1 defeat to Liberty in the First Capital Plus premier league on Sunday at the Carl Reindolf Park.
The Phobians quest of closing up on Kotoko’s lead to seven points could not materialize as they suffered that defeat which once again got most of the fans fuming.
The defeat leaves Hearts nine points behind leaders Kotoko with seven matches to end the season.
Mohammed Polo after the game lamented on how unsupportive some of the fans have been since since replacing Coach David Duncan late last year.
“Not a bad performance from my team I think if people understands football they wouldn’t be saying the things they normally say,” said Polo
“The most painful thing is they don’t even understand what goes on the pitch they just want to win, you have to see what really happens on the pitch.
“We played very well and this is football, they need to encourage these young boys but it is unfortunate because they( Hearts fans) don’t understand football , if people don’t understand football it is very difficult to see the way forward”
“We had some opportunities and for me the worse should have been a draw.”
Polo has won only four times in 11 games as coach of Hearts of Oak – losing four times and drawing three.
