The Democratic Freedom Party says it is poised to prove its detractors and the skeptics wrong.
The party is holding its national delegates congress to elect a flag bearer and national officers the man the party’s affairs.
The Interim National Chairman of the party, Alhaji Issaka is contesting the flag bearership with a communications consultant, Mr. Emmanuel Ansah.
Some of the delegates at Saturday’s congress being held at the Accra Polytechnic told Joy News that Ghanaians will realise the party is a force to reckon with after the congress.
One of them said the party had been well marketed in the Upper West Region and was confident that the DFP will make serious inroads in the December polls.
The editor of the Daily Dispatch newspaper, Mr. Ben Ephson said the party was capable of achieving some successes in the elections given the caliber of people leading it.
He however predicted that the DFP will not field Parliamentary candidates in all the 230 constituencies.
The pollster advised the leadership of the party to concentrate their efforts at swing constituencies where no political party has outright support base.
The DFP is a break away political grouping from the opposition National Democratic Congress.
