There is continuing bickering in the New Patriotic Party as a Parliamentary aspirant has her car burgled.
Mrs. Catherine Afeku had her suitcase containing her original documents meant for her vetting stolen from her car at the Greater Accra Regional headquarters of the NPP.
The parliamentary aspirant for the Evalue Gwira seat in the Western Region was in Accra to confirm the date for her vetting scheduled to take place in Accra when the burglary took place.
She told Joy News that she suspected sabotage by her political opponents.
That she said was because the suspected thieves left two mobile phones and a laptop computer in the car.
“It is odd. No thief will get into a car and leave cell phones, a lap and money. Why the suit case?” distraught Mrs. Afeku asked.
“I am at a loss why someone will go to that length. This is not an ordinary thief” she told Joy FM’s Akwasi Sarpong.
Mrs. Afeku said the suitcase also contained her party card and documents of six gentlemen from Axim who had come to present a petition to the National Executive of the party.
She expressed the hope that the lose of the original documents will not be used against her because she had presented photocopies to the vetting committee.
The suspected thieves she noted were aware that the suit case contained the original copies of her documents and her party card.
The aspiring parliamentarian said she was not daunted by the theft.
