The Kumasi Polytechnic has signed an internship agreement with the Suny-Onondaga Community College and the Walt Disney World Company in Orlando, Florida, USA.
The programme is aimed at enriching the learning experience of students studying business and tourism and hospitality.
Under the accord, expected to commence this month, Kumasi Polytechnic would nominate students to participate in the Disney Theme Park and Resorts College programmes within an academic term.
They would formally apply for admission into the College, and would receive 12 academic credits upon successful completion of the Disney Theme Park and Resorts College programme.
Participating students would also receive an official transcript from the College after successfully completing the internship.
Dr B.E Kwesi Prah, Rector of the Polytechnic signed on behalf of the school while Mr. Michael Almerde initialled for the other two institutions.
Dr. Prah said students would have the opportunity to acquire experience in their field of study and to interact and share ideas with their colleagues from other parts of the world.Source: GNA
