GHANA’S Black Queens will launch a strong bid to their first Olympic Games when they take on their Angolan counterparts in Luanda, this afternoon.
Today’s first leg preliminary qualifier is expected to be contested with a lot of urgency from the two sides.
In terms of quality, the Queens are definitely ahead of their opponents, having made it to the global stage twice, not to talk about the string of successes at the continental level.
But no one can under-estimate the strength of the Angolans whose male team made their debut at last year’s World Cup in Germany.
Importantly, the Queens must go all out to fetch a good result so as to make the return a less arduous assignment.
