The headteacher of a Kasoa based school has allegedly defied the ethics of the teaching profession and had sex with one of his former students, aged 15, in a hotel at Agona Swedru.
Consequently, Dadzie is facing a defilement charge at the Swedru Circuit Court, to which he has pleaded not guilty. .
The trial judge, Mr Beresford Acquah, however, remanded Dadzie in prison custody until July 9, on the grounds that the girl was underage so the argument that she followed Dadzie without resistance did not hold water. .
Chief Inspector R.N. Kotie told the court that the girl was a former student of Kempshot Grammar School at Kasoa where Dadzie is the headteacher.
On January 19, this year, the prosecutor said the two met in town and Dadzie invited the girl to accompany him to Agona Swedru and she obliged.
On their arrival at Swedru late in the evening, Dadzie suggested to the girl that they should spend the night at the Greenland Hotel.
"Accordingly, the unsuspecting girl followed Dadzie into a room he had booked in the hotel," the prosecutor stated, adding that while in the hotel room, Dadzie had sex with her twice.
The prosecutor said when the two returned to Kasoa the following day, the victim reported the ordeal she had gone through to the proprietor of the school, who in turn lodged a complaint with the Kasoa Police, who arrested Dadzie.
When the victim was sent to the Korle- Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra for examination, the medical report showed that she had, indeed, been defiled, Chief Inspector Kofie concluded.
