He said about 6,000 buses were sold overseas including Ghana through its local agent, J.A Plant Pool.

The visit was to afford the journalists the opportunity to have a firsthand know-how of the operations at Yutong Bus Company Limited and Yutong Heavy Industries Limited, which produce a wide range of heavy duty equipment and waste management vehicles.
At Yutong Bus Company, the group was taken through 14 electro-coating techniques that the buses go through to improve their anti-corrosion properties as well as extending their longevity, wind tunnel, whole vehicle shower and road simulation tests as well as seat impact test.
The plant has the capacity to manufacture 300 buses and coaches on daily basis.

At Yutong Heavy Industries, Kevin Liu, Sales Manager for Africa Region disclosed the company's plans to establish on the continent in the next five years following the remarkable patronagen of their products. He said more than 300 heavy duty equipment were shipped to Ghana alone since Yutong ventured into the country in 2007 through J.A Plant Pool.
Mr. Liu described the partnership with J.A Plant Pool as excellent so far, culminating in the establishment of a training centre in Ghana to cater for their clients.
