Police in Accra are investigating the killing of a Prophetess, Agnes Koomson at Sowutuom London Hills in a case of a suspected land dispute.
Her death is suspected to have been carried out by landguards over a parcel of land.
Prophetess Koomson was killed this dawn after her assailants broke into her house.
DSP Freeman Tettey of the Police Public Relations Unit told Joy News they are treating the case as a murder and not robbery, since the suspects did not take anything away from the house.
Describing the incident, DSP Tettey said the children of the Prophetess were also assaulted before their mother was shot dead.
"One of the children, Prince Oduro, 24 also had his share. Fortunately he did not die. He is currently recuperating at the Police Hospital and the body of the prophetess has been sent to the Korle -Bu hospital morgue for autopsy and preservation.
"We are still conducting investigation into this matter. We believe it is not connected to robbery. There has been a pending land litigation involving the woman. She may have gotten the land legitimately but there are other issues connected to that," he stated.
