He said it does not auger well for the Police administration if officers get involved in partisan politics.
He said this when he paid a courtesy call on the IGP at the Police headquarters Tuesday.
"You are professionals so let me make this special appeal to you. Let us eschew [partisan] politics. I get text messages about some police men and its worrying.
"As police men your commitment, your loyalty should be to the government of the day," he said.
"Leave the politics to the politicians. If you want to do politics remove your uniforms and come and join us on the platforms and we will do the chooboi
Mr. Woyongo also charged the Police Service to hire lawyers in order to prosecute their cases effectively.
