Sports Minister, Mahama Ayariga has exclusively told Joy sports the search for a technical advisor for the Black Stars is a Government decision but insists it is the responsibility of the FA to look for a competent person for the Job.
The Ghana FA has set up a three-man committee to appoint a technical advisor for the team.
The ministry initially denied pushing the move for a Technical advisor when reports suggested ex-German international Klaus Topmoller was being considered for the job.
"The truth of the matter is that Ghana remains very committed to ensure the Black Stars and the other National teams get the very best of coaching. That Ghana can afford and highest technical advisor," Mr. Ayariga told Joy Sports.
The former Information minister also hinted the ministry has mandated the Ghana Football Association to appoint who they feel is good for the job after rigorous screening.
"Ultimately the decision about implementation is left to the Ghana FA. But Government aspiration is that the team gets the best of coaching, best of technical support but who is best and how to secure the best is up to the FA".
Meanwhile, the group tasked to hunt for a technical advisor for Coach Kwasi Appiah is expected to complete its search in the coming days.
It is widely expected that former Black Stars head coach Milovan Rajevac or Flemming Serritslev, a Dane, could be handed the job.
