Electoral activities at the International Press Centre was briefly disrupted some seven hours after the national polling exercise on Sunday. The fire is said to have been triggered by a faulty air-conditioner in a computer room at the centre. Journalists and electoral officials around the centre managed to put out the flame with fire extinguishers from their cars. The International Press Centre is the Electoral Commission’s designated media reference point for the 2008 elections. Joy News' Akwasi Sarpong reported that the situation at the centre is back to normal. Story by Fiifi Koomson
