Reverend Kofi Asiamah Ampadu-Daaduam, Nankese District Minister of Presbyterian Church of Ghana, on Thursday called on Ghanaians to change their mentality and attitude to work in 2009.
He said: “The Ghanaian’s mentality about money and wealth as well as attitude to work should change to assist the next government to implement its policies and programmes towards an effective and efficient socio-economic development.”
Rev. Ampadu-Daaduam made the call when delivering the sermon at a New Year service at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church at Nankese in Akuapem Presbytery of the Church in Eastern Region.
He expressed concern about the attitude of workers especially in the public sector, who considered their work as belonging to the government and failed to perform to the best of their competence and ability.
“All and sundry have a stake in developing Ghana and we should not fail in our endeavours,” he said.
