Twenty-four people are reported dead with several others injured when a Tipper Truck crashed into Sunyung bus on the Berekum-Sunyani road in the Brong-Ahafo Region, Monday.

The Sunyung bus was traveling from Berekum to Techiman while the Tiper truck loaded with sand was from also the same route to the same destination.
An eyewitness George Owusu Ansah who spoke to Myjoyonline.com said the Tiper Truck driver was attempting to overtake the Sunyung bus when it summersaulted bringing the both vehicles down at about 3pm.

He said both driver and passenger who were in the Tiper Truck escaped unhurt but majority of the people in the Sunyung bus lost their lives.
According to the eyewitness, the police arrived at the scene almost immediately to help transport the injured to the Sunyani Government Hospital.
