The Multimedia Group has responded to a request from the Nima Police Command, with the presentation of 10,000 Ghana Cedis worth of office furniture to help in equipping the Criminal Investigations Department of the police station.
The furniture, which was presented on Friday, was made up of desks and chairs respectively.
With its centralized location on the Ring Road Central in Accra, the Nima Police Command is one of the busiest stations in Accra.
The station is constantly under pressure, handling several cases and combating crime from areas like Nima, Maamobi, Asylum Down and Kokomlemle, which host diverse demographic backgrounds .
The Nima Police Station is, therefore, one of the most resourceful institutions for the media in terms of news gathering and programing.

Angelo Dadzie, Chief Human Resources Officer of The Multimedia Group, said the presentation of the furniture to the Nima Police Station is consistent with the company’s commitment to its core value of community service.
Other major social responsibility projects being executed by The Multimedia Group include the Educare Fund, which sponsors “Brilliant and Needy Students” to senior high schools throughout the country. Thirty of such students were presented with scholarship just last week to pursue various academic courses at the senior high school level.
The District Commander of the Nima Police Station, DSP Felicia Ayesu who received the furniture, expressed the gratitude of the Unit, saying it would enhance the operations of the officers at the station.
DSP Ayesu said, with the police working in a relatively improved environment, it would be mutually beneficial to the security service and the public it is serving.
She expressed confidence that the presentation of the furniture would boost the morale of the officers and assured the general public of speedy investigation of cases handled by the Nima Police Command.
