Allsports.com.gh profiles three players from the Guinean national team that can trouble the Black Stars as both teams clash on Saturday in an Afcon 2015 qualifier.
Ismaël Bangoura
Ismaël Bangoura is a striker who currently plays for Qatari club Umm Salal on loan from French club FC Nantes.
The 30 year old was a member of the Guinea squad for the 2006 African Nations Cup as Guinea were eliminated in the quarter-finals after losing 2–3 to Senegal.
The veteran has made 47 appearances, and can boast of 13 goals to his name. Bangoura has has been widely tipped to provide the needed attacking width to the Guinean side, as he can play as a winger and attacking midfielder.
Ibrahima Conté
Ibrahima Conté is a player who plays for Belgian giants Anderlecht and comes from the youth section of Fello Star. He is a central midfielder and made his professional debut in Belgium for AA Gent.
His first game was in the 2009-10 season when he came on as a substitute for Gent against KVC Westerlo. He became a key player for Gent in the 2010-11 season.
Ibrahima made his debut for the Syli Nacional in 2010 and has since gone on to become an integral part of the team, having made over 24 appearances caps and scoring one goal.
The 23 year old, who was a regular starter for Zulte Waregem in the Belgian Jupiler League, can also play as a defensive midfielder and centre-back.
Sadio Diallo
Another gem in the Guinean set up is Abdoulaye Sadio Diallo. Commonly known as Sadio Diallo, the 23 year old is widely considered to be one of the most exciting players of this side and widely praised for his creative play-making.
Diallo currently plays for club FC Lorient, on loan from Rennes, after starting his career for the Corsican club SC Bastia in the 2009–10 Ligue 2 season.
He played his first game for the Guinean national team in 2010, and registered his debut goal in Guinea's 4–1 win over Madagascar which saw them to the top of Group B of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers as Nigeria drew 2–2 in Ethiopia.
Scoring 7 times in 17 caps for the Syli Nacionals, Diallo is a hard working midfielder who has an eye for goals and is amongst coach Michel Dussuyer's most potent attacking weapons.
