Former Stars defender Tony Baffoe is calling on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to strengthen its management committees with retired footballers, to rebrand our game in order to avoid the Brazil saga.
This call comes as a result of Ghana’s abysmal performance at the 2014 world cup in Brazil in June. Since then there have been several calls for the restructuring of the management committee ahead of future competitions.
Tony Baffoe adds his voice to the choir.
In an interview on Asempa Fm’s Sports Avenue 1 Show, the FIFA match coordinator charged the Ghana FA to consider his suggestion since it will go a long way in helping our national teams.
“I think we should be included in the management committees because we the ex-internationals can anticipate the problems of these players and won’t underestimate them
“And don’t get me wrong, I’m not talking about any ex-player anywhere, you must have the charisma and personality. One thing our current footballers have to do is package themselves well because there is life after football and so we should have a plan while playing”, he said.
