Coach of Liberty Professionals, George Lamptey is enraged over the delay of the commencement of the 2014/2015 First Capital Plus Premier League.
According to him, dishonesty is the bane of Ghana football.
There is uncertainty over when this season’s First Capital Plus premier league will kick start following the legal battle between Kumasi King Faisal and the Ghana Football Association.
The president of the GFA, Kwasi Nyantakyi has already stated, they are trying so hard to resolve the issue so the league can kick start.
The fear is that coaches might over train their players and club administrators are paying salaries and incurring other costs with no work done.
George Lamptey shared his exasperations in an exclusive chat with Joy Sports.
“We all say…Ghana is a soccer loving nation, what is this? Is this a soccer loving nation? We need to come out and say the truth, let’s put the truth where it is so we can start the league.
“We should do something, this time. Before you survive you have to pretend and lie and that is what everybody is doing and if you decide to say the truth you will have problems. Let us wake up and do something for we have proved to the world that we have it so let us not bring it down.
“This delay in starting the league is giving us big problems, you go on pre-season and the league delays, we have to find ways of maintaining players before the league starts, we keep paying them and so many things are going wrong for us,
“We beg those in charge and those who can help arrange this to come together, this is our country we can’t always pretend and lie.”
