Eddie Murphy reportedly doesn't visit his daughter because he wants to stay away from "crazy" Mel B.
The 'Shrek' star, who fathered 22-month-old Angel Iris with the former Spice Girl, is keen to avoid a confrontation with his ex-girlfriend Mel.
A friend of Eddie's told America's OK! magazine: "To see the kid, he'd have to see the mother. Maybe when she's older, Eddie will see Angel, but not now.
"Mel is a crazy woman. Eddie wants to stay far away from her."
Eddie - who has five other children with his ex-wife Nicole Mitchell, and two from a previous relationship - dumped Mel on a Dutch TV show while she was pregnant with Angel, and then questioned the paternity of his baby.
A DNA test later proved he was the father.
In 2008, Mel revealed she was considering writing a song about the 'Beverly Hills Cop' star because she claims he rarely sees the pair's daughter.
The 33-year-old star said: "The working title on my new song is
'Beverly Hills C**k' because that is what he is. He never bothers with his daughter. I mean, what kind of man is that?
"I want Angel to know she has two parents who love her so much."
