Paul Pogba says Cristiano Ronaldo is the only "logical choice" to win the 2014 Fifa Ballon d'Or.
The Real Madrid star has enjoyed a stunning year, firing his side to the Champions League and Copa del Rey before hitting 20 goals in just 10 Liga games so far in 2014-15.
Ronaldo also became the top scorer in European Championship history this week when he hit the winner in Portugal's 1-0 victory over Armenia, and Pogba feels he is the obvious favourite to defend his Ballon d'Or crown.
"For me, it will be him [Ronaldo]," the Juventus midfielder was quoted as saying by France Football. "It's logical, but it's logical for everyone, right?"
Pogba went on to stress that France will not change their approach against Sweden in this week's friendly, despite the absence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic through injury.
"We played well against Portugal with Cristiano Ronaldo, so we'll play Sweden to win," he said. "We know Zlatan is a great player but if he's not there it's too bad for Sweden and good for us."
Team-mate Antoine Griezmann, meanwhile, insists les Bleus are more concerned with their own gameplan than whether the Paris Saint-Germain star will recover from a heel problem.
"We're thinking more of our game and what we have to do to win than whether Ibra will be there or not. If he's not there, it's nothing serious," said the Altetico Madrid man.
