The Tafo District Police in Kumasi have arrested and placed in custody, Yaaba Zan, 22, a porter for allegedly killing his brother, Kwaku Frafra Tambil, 25, during a quarrel.Deputy Superintendent of Police Kwaku Buah, Tafo District Police Commander told Ghana News Agency in Kumasi on Monday that, the incident took place at Old Tafo on Sunday morning.He said during the quarrel, Zan allegedly hit the forehead of Tambil with a stick and a hammer that made him unconscious and sensing danger, Zan informed a relative about the incident who reported the matter to the police and Zan was arrested.DSP Buah said Tambil was rushed to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) but was pronounced dead on arrival and the corpse deposited at the hospital’s mortuary for autopsy.He however denied that the deceased was beheaded for ritual purposes.The suspect would appear before an Ashanti New Town Magistrate’s Court in Kumasi on Tuesday, March 24.Source: GNA
