Black Stars midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah will be out of action for four months after undergoing knee surgery today.
This was revealed on the club’s official website, Tuesday.
The surgery is to clear up a knee problem, the club indicated adding, he will not return to the pitch for at least three months.
“Kwadwo Asamoah was in Barcelona [today] to undergo arthroscopic surgery designed to fix torn cartilage in his left knee.” Juventus confirmed.
“Operated on by Dr. [Ramon] Cugat and accompanied by club doctor [Andrea] Causarano, the Ghanaian is expected to return to competitive action within three to four months.”
Asamoah missed the Black Stars' double header against Uganda and Togo in the Afcon qualifier and is now set to miss next year's Nations Cup set for Equatorial Guinea.
