The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has made it compulsory for all delegates to engage in cleaning Kumasi and its environs as part of the National Sanitation Day next Saturday.
The next National Sanitation Day on December 6, coincides with the party's National Youth Delegates Conference in Kumasi.
The party says all the expected 800 delegates at the conference must join in cleaning the city.
National Organiser of NDC, Ludwig Hlordze told Luv News some of the delegates would be cleaning Ejisu while the rest clean Ashanti Region's central business districts.
"We are going to team up with the military, the National Service and the general public...because this is our government's initiative, we want to be fully involved", said Mr Hlordze.
The NDC National Youth Delegates Conference is on the theme "Rekindling the spirit volunteerism and youth activism for Victory 2016".
Not too long ago, the Local Government Minister, Julius Debrah, initiated the National Sanitation Day, which was followed by a nationwide cleanup exercise.
The nationwide exercise starts from 6:00 am to 9:00 am every first Saturday of the month.
It is aimed at addressing the country’s sanitation challenges.
