Ghanaian Welterweight, Joshua Clottey’s trainer says his charge will be a World Champion come next year.
Kwame Asante told Joy Sports his ward will step up preparations for an elimination bout to the WBA and WBC titles at the end of January 2007.
With the WBO Welterweight Champion Antonio Margarito reluctant to give Clottey a rematch, Joshua’s camp is now evaluating their options.
Joshua Clottey lost the 12 round contest in New Jersey a fortnight ago after injuring his right arm in the early rounds. But Kwame Asante who returned to Ghana on Thursday is optimistic Clottey will land a world title.
