General Secretary of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) Johnson Asiedu Nketia has laughed off claims that he was booed in the auditorium while delivering his speech at national women’s delegates congress last Saturday.
On the contrary, he said the reported jeers were actually cheers by over-enthusiastic supporters who were overjoyed when they saw him.
The NDC political strategist credited for masterminding the party’s victory in 2012 general elections was reacting on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Monday after a news report on myjoyonline.com claimed he was booed.
According to the reports, some NDC members who were at Wa Senior High Technical School ffor the congress, believe that Asiedu Nketia’s speech calling for the weeding out moles within the party was targeted at the aspirant for National Organiser Kofi Adams.
Apparently delegates and supporters of Kofi Adams felt targeted and responded by reacting in a way which Aseidu Nketia believes were cheers not jeers.
