Mrs. Kate Quartey-Papafio, Charted Institute of Marketing Ghana Marketing Woman of the year 2013, has advised female graduates yet to enter the job market that her career is testimony to the fact that women are capable of excelling on their own qualities as entrepreneurs.
The CEO of REROY Cables, the leading indigenous cable manufacturing company that produces fire-resistant cables, said this at the 6th Congregation of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA).
“With the right attitude, the willingness to work hard, even with minimal remuneration and desire for self-improvement, you will be preparing yourself for the road to success whether as employees, or preferably, employers,” she said.
She said as an Entrepreneur and a market leader I urged you all to develop the positive attitude to work and to go confidently into the business world, keep their focus and be ready to explore the numerous opportunities that come their way.
“This confirms the fact that women can perform and I encourage you all to develop the right attitude to excel and avoid the negative perception that women are not good entrepreneurs and strive to get to the top of your careers and be convinced the sky would be your limit”, the Marketing Woman of the year 2013 added.
She encouraged them to exhibit the right professional attitude in every task they undertake particularly during the national service, period and assured them of endless opportunities.
“Give off your best. Continue to develop yourselves by reading extensively and updating yourselves in area of your profession. I know that most of you spend a lot time on social media sites and whatsApp etc, use these tools, not only for leisure, but to increase your knowledge to be on top of your profession”, she concluded.
