Former Deputy Minister of Children, Gender and Social Protection has called on the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) to step into the raging controversy between the Ghana Aids Commission and Joyce Dzidzor Mensah.
Rachael Adwoa Appoh says the BNI can help uncover the ‘hidden truth’ in the whole saga.
The Member of Parliament (MP) for Gomoa Central said she is of the firm conviction that the government agency and the AIDS Ambassador were failing to reveal a hidden truth in the case.
She told Adom FM’s Parliamentary correspondent, Listowell Kwadwo Fordjour, in an interview that the banter between the Commission and Ms Dzidzor Mensah was not helping matters.
“There seem to be a hidden truth in what all parties in the case are bringing out…and this truth can only be unraveled by the security agencies, hence I am calling on them to take the issue up for investigation…,” she said.
The famous AIDS Ambassador shocked the entire country this week when she published that she has been pretending to be a carrier of the disease.
Her deception, she defended, was for a good cause adding that she has to go through that to get accommodation after being ejected from her home.
She has in subsequent interviews implicated the Ghana AIDS commission forcing it to defend that the lady is a carrier who needs psychological attention.
Other independent persons, including the ex-husband of the 'fake' Ambassador have added that they have eveidence to suggest Joyce Mensah is a carrier of the deadly virus.
All these back and forth, the legislator argues would be unravelled with the intervention of the National Security.
