The GSE All-share index, the benchmark measure of performance of the Accra bourse, fell for the second consecutive trading session this week as bearish sentiments continued to dominate the market.The index closed down by 5.37 points at 8,977.10 from 8,982.47 points at the previous close.Change for the year to date now stands at -13.94 per cent.Shares that changed hands dropped marginally to close at 172,100 shares compared to 173,900 shares on Monday.Market capitalisation closed the session up marginally at GH¢17,880.07 million up GH¢17,873.39 million on account of price appreciation in Ghana Commercial Bank.On the broader market, there were two price changes – a positive and a negative. State Insurance Company lost GH¢0.02 to close at GH¢0.30 while GCB was up by GH¢0.04 to close at GH¢0.54.Source: GNA
