The 2014 African Footballer of the Year and Ivory Coast midfielder Yaya Toure is hopeful of winning the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations before he probably hangs his international boots.
The Manchester City man spoke highly of the national team manager Herve Renard expressing hope that he will lead them to glory in Equatorial Guinea.
Before I retire
-Before I retire I really want to win something with my country. I hope that Herve Renard will take us as far as possible, the 31 year old was quoted on Caf Online.
-It's a super decision because he is someone who has a lot of experience of Africa. He is someone with lots of charisma and he knows what it takes to win the CAN.
Group D
Toure and his brother Kolo, were in the squads that lost on post match shootouts against Egypt and Zambia in 2006 and 2012 respectively.
The Elephants have been pooled in Group D alongside Cameroon, Mali and Guinea.
