The Ghana Tourist Board (GTB) says it will be compelled to permanently close down night clubs still using nude dancers as attraction.
The Board says it is surprised to learn that some night clubs in the capital, Accra, still use nude female dancers, months after it demanded a halt to the practice.
Following a Joy News expose of the increasing phenomenon of naked dancing in night clubs two months ago, the GTB asked the clubs to stop the practice. Officials say they monitored to ensure that the clubs complied.
But after several weeks, Joy News can confirm that some of the strip clubs are still operating.
According to the Quality Control Manager of the GTB, Adlane Boateng, the Board will intensify its monitoring to ensure that the recalcitrant clubs are closed down permanently.
