Ghanaian striker John Antwi has reached a deal with Saudi Arabian side Al-Shabab to complete his move from Egyptian side Ismaily and penned a two-and-half year contract.
The 22-year-old threatened to pull out of the deal if his demand for US$ 200,000 signing on fee was not met.
Al-Shabab were willing to pay US$ 100,000 and that stalled negotiations over his transfer.
The Riyadh-based side are reported to have paid US$ 2.2 million to Ismaily for the leading Egyptian Premier League top scorer.
Antwi has been one of the Egyptian Premier League’s most consistent performers since joining Ismaily in 2013.
He finished as the league’s top scorer last season with 11 goals in the zonal league.
