Razak Braimah 6/10 - Will blame himself for Masango's wonderful opener after he was caught off his line. Struggled with his kicking game.
Daniel Amartey 5 /10- Started in his usual calm manner and had a good scoring chance from a corner kick. Was taken off with an injury in the first half and replaced by John Boye.
Jonathan Mensah 7/10 -Continued his good run of form with an imperious defensive performance. Used his height well and pushed the team on when they were down. A resolute performance.
Harrison Afful 5/10 - Found himself with the kind of space he loves on the right but had an off day with his crosses.
Baba Rahman 6/10 - Hit a pile driver straight at Khuzwayo in the first half and was struggling to impact a third straight game when he produced the cross that led to Andre Ayew's goal and seal a remarkable comeback.
Afriyie Acquah 5/10 - Much more was expected of him after his monster performance in the game against Algeria but he struggled to impose his game on an intelligent Bafana Bafana midfield led by Dean Furman. Was rightly subbed off and replaced by Badu.
Mubarak Wakasu 8/10 - Ghana's best player, he was a mixture of grit, tenacity and creativity as Ghana laboured to break down a stubborn South Africa. Played with a vibrant attitude that was an example. AFCON's seem to bring out the best in him.
Christian Atsu 6/10 - Yet to play a full game satisfactorily. He was downright atrocious in the first half as he contributed nothing to the Ghanaian cause but showed up a different player in the second half. still struggled with his end product but his willingness to ran at defenders opened up space.
Andre Ayew 6/10 - Scored yet another with his head and what an important one it was. Sleep walked through vast swathes of the game but like most big time players, he picked his moment and delivered a waiting nation.
Jordan Ayew 6/10 -Should have buried an early chance early in the game but fluffed his lines and was poor throughout the game. Was indecisive in the final third of the game and struggled in possession. Growing feeling that patience is running out for him.
Asamoah Gyan 6/10 -The captain thrives on service but struggled with a blunt midfield that lumped long balls at him in hope. Was well marshalled by Rivaldo Coetzee and reduced to pot shots. Still playing his way into fitness but will have to step up more if Ghana are to become dangerous.
Substitues
John Boye 7/10 - The hate figure of Ghana football for the past year put himself on the path to redemption with a brilliant turning shot that gave Ghana parity .Won his fair share of aerial duels and was also threatening on the offensive side.
Kwesi Appiah 5/10 - What debut it would have been for the new fangled international if Khuzwayo had not made a diving save to keep him out. Looked more threatening in his limited time than Jordan Ayew did as he patrolled the penalty area of South Africa.
Agyeman Badu 5/10 - His presence freed up Wakaso to make more offensive moves as Ghana chased the game and it paid off.
