Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has made a return to the Black Stars starting line-up against the Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire in an epic AFCON final at the Estadio de Bata in Equatorial Guinea.
The Al Ain star was forced out of the semi-final clash due to an injury he suffered in the match against Guinea.
Gyan's return is the only change Coach Avram Grant made to the side that trounced host Equatorial Guinea amidst chaos and drama.
He replaces Jordan Ayew who would start from the bench.
In the heart of defence will be Jonathan Mensah and John Boye whilst Baba Rahman and Harrison Afful will guard the rear from the flanks.
The midfield quartet is made Afriyie Acquah and Wakaso Mubarak, Christian Atsu and Dede Ayew.
Sensational Kwasi Appiah will pair with Asamoah Gyan in attack.
