The Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) has joined the campaign to educate its members on how to protect themselves from the COVID-19.
In a press release, signed by the PRO, GHAMRO entreated its members to adhere to the directives from the President and the Ministry of Health.
On their end, the Organisation said that it would release, frequently, bulk messages to its members on every update concerning the virus and accompany them with health titbits.
“Hand sanitisers have been made available in all GHMARO offices nationwide enable visitors to maintain a high level of hygiene,” the statement said.
GHAMRO also urged all its members to cancel concerts and events with large gatherings that defy the social distancing rule.
The Organisation is also leading the campaign to get its members coming from coronavirus stricken countries to follow the mandatory 14 days self-quarantine.
“All to adhere to this simple procedure and not to be a victim of being forced by the state to comply as stated on March 15 in a press briefing organised by the Ministry of Health under the auspices of the Ministry of Information.”
Board Chairman of GHAMRO Rex Omar, on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, also advised Ghanaians to rally behind the president and not desist from using the coronavirus as a political debate.
