The Manhyia Palace has suspended all major traditional ceremonies as a precautionary measure against the spread of the novel coronavirus.
The Palace Museum has also been closed to visitors, both local and foreign, while adjudication of cases and other public rituals will be held in private.
Otumfuo’s Mawerehene, Baffour Osei Brantuo Hyiaman, disclosed these during a visit to health facilities by the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly (KMA) Health Committee.
The team, led by City Mayor, Osei Assibbey Antwi, was out to check response preparedness of the institution to the coronavirus disease.
