The Environment Ministry has instituted some enhanced preventive measures to ensure the safety of its staff over the coronavirus pandemic.
With a medical professional at the helm of affairs, Professor Frimpong Boateng educated the staff on the need to adhere strictly to personal hygiene as well as measures put in place by the Ministry.
He further stated the need to use hand sanitisers frequently as well as washing once hands under running water before and after using washrooms.
The safety and health preventive measures instituted by the Minister include the provision of hand gloves for the security personnel at the entrance, checking of the temperature of everybody who enters the building.
There is also Veronica bucket mounted at various points for easy access to wash once hands, sanitisers mounted on the walls on all the floors amongst other things.
Prof. Boateng assured that with these measures and its strict adherence, the staff of the Ministry would be working under very safe conditions without any fear.
He also provided thermometer guns to be used for checking the temperature of staff.
