Of that number, 611 samples were taken.
The press conference was addressed by Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Information Minister and officials of the Ministry of Health.
Mathew Opoku Prempeh, the Education Minister also gave updates in his sector.
On Monday, a second person died in Ghana from Covid-19.
