He said the donation was to share in the celebration of the Eid ul-Fitr and also to strengthen the relationship between his outfit and the Muslim community.
Mr Owusu Nyarko said, “We pray Almighty Allah to see us through the fasting period and bless us abundantly.”
He added his voice on the need for the various religious groups to educate their followers on the preventive measures on coronavirus disease (COVID 19).
Western Regional Chief Imam, Dr Sheikh Ostaz Ali Hassan Ali, thanked and blessed the management and staff of MTN for the kind gesture.
Ban on public gathering
Amid this pandemic and restriction on the social gathering by the president Nana Akuffo –Addo a lot of activities have been put on hold including religious gathering.
Muslims in the country have begun their annual prayers and fasting known as Ramadan but have been directed to pray in their homes.
During the month, believers usually break their fast with families and friends and perform an evening prayer, known as Taraweeh, in large gatherings at mosques.
After a month of fasting and prayers, Muslims celebrate Eid ul-Fitr to end the Ramadan but will it be celebrated this year?
