The Student's Representative Council (SRC) of the Ensign College of Public Health (ECOPH) has donated some items to aid in the fight against the deadly Covid-19 pandemic.
The donation was made at selected schools in and around Kpong in the Eastern Region under the SRC's Mask and hand sanitizer distribution project.
The schools include Krobo State College, Foreman Presby JHS, Kpong Methodist JHS, Odumase Nursing and Midwifery Training College and Akuse Methodist SHTS.

The programme was graced by students of ECOPH, some staff and faculty members of ECOPH, media men and women, SHEP coordinators and other stakeholders.
The programme which costs a little over ₵5000.00 was jointly financed through donations from benevolent individuals and the ESRC's IGF. The intention is to fulfill a call to "promote health and to prevent disease", especially in the era of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The beneficiaries were mainly final year students of the aforementioned institutions. The project saw the distribution of over a thousand masks and five hundred sanitizers in total to the beneficiary schools.
The recipients were very glad and indicated their commitment to use the donated items to help mitigate the spread of Covid-19 in their respective locations.
Some headteachers and teachers of the beneficiary schools however lament the inadequacy of other equipment such as Veronica buckets, tissue papers and sanitzers in their schools and therefore calls on other benevolent groups tocome to their aid.
