Impact Hub Accra in partnership with the Lab of Tomorrow is set to launch the New Economy Booster (NEB) program on Friday, September 4, 2020.
This will be done with support from the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development.
The social enterprise program seeks to support advanced and early-stage ventures, startups, non-profit organizations, and initiatives that are focused on solving Covid-19 related socio-economic problems in Ghana.
The identified industry focus sectors are Agriculture, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Education, Tourism, and Hospitality.
According to the program lead Peter Sarpong, “The program will go for six months, depending on the project needs and will be highly customized to make sure each team is receiving relevant support and resources that will best develop their business.”
The virtual event will be happening from 6 pm to 7 pm on 4th September 2020 and would be live on Impact Hub Accra’s Youtube, Facebook, and Instagram channels.
The event would be hosted by the award-winning Ghanaian music artiste M.anifest as a build up on his current 'Money Talks' series, with guest performances from the likes of Worlasi, Molly, and a surprise act.
The program outline would cover the motivation behind the NEB Project, insights into the startup ecosystem of Ghana, opportunities for partners, and an opened segment for viewers to join the conversation.
Partners present would include GIZ and Absa.
Meanwhile, there are several support avenues available for successful candidates that apply for the program. These include: finance and logistics support, partnership opportunities, coaching and mentorship sessions, networking, training, investor introductions, expert assistance, and peer support.
These support options would be provided to all successful
candidates in the highlighted focus industries.
