The organisers of the Ghana Makeup Awards have officially opened nomination for the fourth edition of the scheme for makeup artists, businesses, content creators and industry affiliates.
The awards which was launched on last Thursday is calling for nominations from players of the beauty and makeup industry.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this year’s event will not be as elaborate as previously held events in order to adhere to the safety protocols.
Organisers say some of the anticipated categories such as the Makeup Artiste of the Year, Hairstylist of the Year, among others will not be competed for this year.
This year’s categories will shed light on the beauty community’s contribution towards the fight against the Covid-19.
It will also use this opportunity to give out selected industry awards to deserving individuals.

COVID-19 Response Categories
Digital Education
An individual/brand who excelled in using their digital platform to educate and train people during the lockdown period. (Open to Schools & Individuals).
Digital Advocacy
An individual/brand who excelled in using their digital presence to create awareness of the coronavirus pandemic and advocated safety measures to control the spread.
Digital Commerce & Marketing
An individual/brand who excelled in using digital commerce by combining and leveraging digital tools to market and sell in new ways
