Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak will face off in the first super clash of the season in February, following the release of the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League fixtures by the Football Association on Thursday.
The first meeting will be on the weekend of 12-15 February 2021. On the weekend of 25-28 June 2021, the two teams will meet once again for the return leg. It will fall on matchday 31.
Both games will likely be played at the Accra Sports Stadium as both teams have applied to use the venue for the season. Kotoko's Baba Yara Stadium is under renovation.
Meanwhile, Kotoko will begin their campaign at home against Techiman Eleven Wonders, with Hearts of Oak travelling to Dormaa to face Aduana Stars.
AshantiGold, Medeama, Legon Cities FC and WAFA will all be at home on matchday one while Great Olympics, Bechem United, Karela and Dreams, King Faisal start theirs on the road.
The season is expected to start on the weekend of November 13-16 and end on the weekend of July 16-18, 2021.
According to the GFA, the specific dates, time and venues for each fixture will be announced after the Club licensing board submits the approved venues for the season.
The previous campaign was suspended and later truncated altogether due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic but the GFA, with consultation from government, has ensured the commencement of a new season.
