The Electoral Commission (EC) has reiterated its commitment to ensuring that there is no electoral violence during the December polls.
It said there are collaborations with security agencies as a means to eschew tensions likely to surface on election day.
Deputy Chairman of the Commission, Dr Eric Asare Bossman, told Joy News in an interview that all other measures that facilitate the observation of a peaceful, credible and transparent election have also been put in place.
He notes that challenges that might hinder the citizenry the freedom to the exercise their franchise have been particularly dealt with.
“The EC is working together with the Ghana Police Service. The Service is primarily in charge of the election security thought force which ensures that all election polling stations are secured.
"Beyond that, we are also assuring the general public that anyone who registered is guaranteed to vote on December 7 because all names have been captured in the register and the EC is fully ready,” he said.
Dr Bossman further said with the hindsight of pockets of violence that characterised the voters' registration exercise, security in and around the polling centres have been reinforced in preparation for the December polls.
Meanwhile, the National Commission on Small Arms and Light Weapons (NACSA) has also called on Ghanaians to stay alert and assist the Police in curbing violence during elections.
