Police personnel from the Motor Transport and Traffic Directorate (MTTD) of the Ghana Police Service assigned to traffic control at a ceremony in Dansoman had to battle with rampaging stray cows .
The incident happened at Zodiac, a suburb of Dansoman in Accra.
It is reported that the officers had barricaded all roads leading to the Dansoman roundabout where a ceremony involving the President was scheduled to happen.

The ceremony was to unveil a statue in honour of the late Member of Parliament for Ablekumah West Late Theresa Ameley Tago who was the first female MP.

Considering the looming danger the officers are reported to have opened the barricade and the cows to head towards the venue where invited guests had gathered waiting for the president.

The cattle numbering 5 was said to be with a herd boy from the Russia road also in Dansoman where the animals took over the road. This resulted in a traffic build-up on that stretch.
It took the intervention of two young men to scare the cows away.
