A Tema bound lowbed truck, loaded with what looks like metal scraps is reported stuck under the Hong Kong footbridge on the George Walker Bush motorway.
According to a Facebook post by the Ghana Police Service, Odorkor MTTD personnel are currently at the scene directing and assisting approaching motorists.
Efforts are under way to remove the vehicle which got stuck about an hour ago.
"Meanwhile, the driver of the truck has been arrested by the police to assist in investigation. Also, Greater Accra, Regional Maintenance Manager, Ghana Highways Authority is at the scene to support Police with on the spot investigations," parts of the post read.
Approaching motorists have therefore been advised to drive cautiously at reduced speed.
"Further updates will be communicated" the Police said.
