Veteran Gospel musician, Mary Ghansah has called on electorates to be agents of peace during today's general elections.

In an interview with Joy News, the artiste cautioned Ghanaians, particularly the youth, not to allow themselves to be used for electoral violence.

"This election, be a peace-maker. God is depending on you. We have received so much from him, He said: 'I give you My peace'. So we should receive it and go and exercise it.

"If we go and there is trouble, there is quarrel make the attempt to settle issues. Be a spiritual fire extinguisher with the word of God and let them tone down," she said.

Rev Ghansah further advised Ghanaians to learn to respect each other's choices even when they differ, adding that election is about choices and should therefore not lead to war.

"Ghana has been and will forever be a peaceful country. We cannot be shattered, we cannot carry our things to the next country, that will never happen," she prayed.

"Don't let a fellow human being use you for their own aggrandisement in Monday’s elections. Instead, allow yourself to be used by God."
