The attention of the Electoral Commission (EC) has been drawn to isolated incidents of ballot papers having been tampered with in 2 polling stations.
A number of presidential ballot papers issued to some voters in two polling stations in the Awutu Senya West and Bawku Central constituencies did not have the NPP candidate.
It started from the Number 2 position which has NDC's John Mahama.
According to a statement issued by the Commission on the incident, it said the suspected officers have been removed from their post pending further investigations.
"The Commission, working with the Ghana Police Service, has identified the suspected Officers and removed them from post pending further investigations."
The EC has cautioned the general public to be vigilant, because "For a correctly thumb printed ballot to be considered valid and counted, all the Presidential candidates must be on the ballot paper."
Speaking on the matter, Mr Serebour Quaicoo underscored the seriousness of the matter, describing it as a mischievous act by the ballot issuer.
"In elections, you cannot underrate such a thing. A ballot issuer, issuing a ballot paper without the full compliment of the candidates, without the serial number of the ballot paper? Then what other reason can you give apart from being mischievous," he stated.
The Commission further "entreats all its Staff and Field Officials to let the truth guide them and integrity preserve them as they continue with this important exercise.
"We also urge Political Party and Candidate’s agents and the General Public to be vigilant to ensure a free, fair, credible and transparent election".
