Icy girls, Saweetie's new capsule collection with PrettyLittleThing has arrived.
The fashion retailer has tapped the “Back to the Streets” rapper for the third time and now Saweetie is urging us to be grown and sexy.
Fashion collaborations with female rappers, especially with fast-fashion brands like PLT, have been on the rise as of late.
The affordable and size-inclusive clothing allows fans to get their hands on something that represents an extension of their favorite stars outside of the traditional merch lines.
Since this is her third collaboration with PrettyLittleThing, Saweetie wanted to try something a little bit different.

The West Coast rapper's last collection with the brand launched while strict lockdowns and stay-at-home orders were in place across the country so, naturally, the line ended up being home-inspired.
Saweetie created a comfy and cozy line of sweatpants and other loungewear. Her new collection is nothing like that.
Dubbed “Pretty Planet,” a play on her “Pretty B.I.T.C.H. Music” merged with “PrettyLittleThing,” Saweetie completely reinvented her vision for this one. “I wanted to do something super grown,” Saweetie tells Teen Vogue exactly. And that’s exactly what she did.
You know what they say, third time's a charm. From leather corset tops to strappy bodysuits, the pieces in this collection tell the grown and sexy story that she intended to. “When I look at the pieces, it just makes me feel like a boss b*tch and a grown-*ss woman,” she proclaims.

Saweetie’s personal style isn’t far from that. She tells us that she still gets dressed up in her house every day, despite quarantine, and her Instagram confirms it.
Over the past year, the rapper says she's has grown more into her skin. Her creative content on social media now showcases her innovative, yet playful side. From switching up her colorful wigs to posing poolside, she doesn’t let quarantine stop her from showing off her threads and she wants fans to do the same with this collection.
“Unfortunately, we can't be outside but the girls can still go up the street and take a picture for the fall [or] for the winter,” she tells Teen Vogue. Saweetie’s capsule features sexy leather pieces, printed puffer coats, trench coats, bralettes, and more. There’s something for everyone and every style, which is exactly what Saweetie set out to create.
Saweetie likes to think of her personal style as “bipolar,” but not in a bad way. “Sometimes I'm a tomboy. Sometimes I'm sexy. Sometimes I'm business chic. But, I feel like there's no limit to what Saweetie wears,” she tells us. She even admits that anyone who was to see her closet would probably think multiple girls live at her house, but it’s just her.
That variety and unrestricted vision are present throughout the collection, which she says, ultimately, is a reflection of her style. “There’s [pieces] for every mood that you could find in this collection,” she says. If you want to be comfy, there’s a jogger set for you. If you want to be sexy, there’s a bikini top for you. Saweetie doesn’t limit herself and she doesn’t want her fans to, either.
